The mission has always centred on one thing, breath. Medical oxygen for hospitals, oxygen kits for patients with chronic lung disease, portable oxygen for daily life, and a nonprofit devoted to respiratory health. It is healthcare grounded in a hundred years of gas engineering.

Medical-oxygen cylinders
For decades, Uttam's medical-oxygen cylinders have been part of the everyday infrastructure of Indian healthcare, the essential hardware behind hospital beds and ambulances.

Oxygen kits for COPD patients
In 2012, Uttam committed ₹50 crore over two years to build capacity for oxygen kits for COPD patients, taking respiratory support beyond the hospital and into the home.

On-site oxygen generation
Roughly a decade of medical-oxygen generator experience underpinned the 2021 deployment of PSA oxygen-generation plants across Indian hospitals at national scale.

OxyGo is Uttam’s portable and personal oxygen cylinder line, developed from the group’s medical-gas expertise and built to the same high-pressure standards as its industrial cylinders. It is the medical-oxygen mission, made portable, for the people who need a breath wherever they are.

Uttam’s healthcare mission extends into private health management through Sydenham Clinic, personalised, preventive care that puts patients in informed control of their own health.
Nonprofit · Breathe Easy India
Breathe Easy India.
Breathe Easy India is the Uttam Group’s nonprofit, its CSR arm, devoted to the country’s respiratory health. The work spans lung-disease awareness, respiratory support, the donation of oxygen cylinders to patients in need, and patient education.
It is the human face of a gas-engineering company, turning the same expertise that keeps hospitals supplied into care that reaches people directly.

Aanchal Bhatia
Director · Founder, Breathe Easy India
A director of the Uttam Group and the conviction behind its healthcare mission.
Aanchal Bhatia is a director of the Uttam Group and the founder and Managing Trustee of Breathe Easy India, the group’s respiratory-health nonprofit. A patient advocate by conviction, her work centres on empowering people to take informed ownership of their own care.
She is the author of “Your Doctor Is Not God, How to Be the CEO of Your Own Health” (2016), a guide to navigating the healthcare system as an informed, active participant rather than a passive patient.
